Beauty For Ashes Counseling and Mental Health Services, LLC is a mental health private practice in Brunswick, GA owned and managed by Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Erika L. Turner.
The term “Beauty For Ashes” is a biblical reference from the scripture Isaiah 61 “to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair”. In ancient biblical culture, people often covered themselves in ashes when they were experiencing sadness, loss, anguish, or despair. The ashes represented the hurt, pain, and brokenness that they were feeling inside. In today’s modern world, we too cover ourselves with intangible ashes that can look like anger, envy, depression, fear, and anxiety. The premise of Beauty For Ashes Counseling and Mental Health Services, LLC is to help every client receive emotional healing from past and/or current abuse, trauma, neglect, grief, and loss, and to usher them into a life of beauty that is full of love, peace, balance, kindness, happiness, and forgiveness.
